How often should you take a break from lash extensions?

We recommend taking a minimum two-month break with eyelash extensions to allow your lashes to recover naturally and grow back fully. When new customers come to the salon, they don't know if eyelash extensions can cause them irritation and discomfort. If female clients notice redness, itching, swelling, or even pain around the eye area, it is strongly recommended to stop using eyelash extensions. There are some benefits to taking a break from eyelash extensions.

First, it can give your natural lashes a chance to rest and recover. If you wear eyelash extensions all the time, your natural lashes can become weak and brittle. Taking a break will allow them to get stronger again. Most good eyelash serums contain conditioning and stimulating ingredients, which can improve your lashes when used continuously.

This is because, as natural lashes grow, they cannot support the weight of the extensions, which in turn causes extensions to twist or fall out and, potentially, premature loss of eyelashes. At the end of eyelash growth cycles, many customers get impatient waiting for their extensions to fall off and start pulling and pulling on their lashes. Second, eyelash extensions may not look as good when you put them back on after a break, as it may take some time for the eyelash artist to look perfect again. For the most part, eyelashes grow and fall out, so if a customer wants lightweight extensions suitable for their own natural lashes with high-quality glue and regular fillers, their natural lashes should be perfectly fine.

This gives your eyelash cycle time to restart on its own, and those baby lashes will grow nicely and strongly. The point of this story isn't to point out how difficult I was during my eyelash break, but rather to highlight the power of eyelash extensions. Personally, I do less makeup when I have eyelash extensions, so even if my lashes are false, I feel more natural if that makes sense. Even though the serum had worked really well and my natural lashes looked great with the mascara on, I had to go back to my first love, eyelash extensions.

Their biggest concern is that eyelash extensions tighten their natural lashes or cause them to fall out faster than they should. So, if a customer's natural lashes are damaged or too weak for this reason, look for healthy, grown lashes before applying new extensions. Eyelash extensions are a luxury, and thankfully, you can continue to get fillers for as long as your natural lashes can handle it.
